About me
Before coming to GCC I had 12 years working with High School students. Eight of those years was as a Paraprofessional in the special education department where I interacted with students one-to-one and in a classroom setting.The four years subsequent to that, I was a Job Developer where I helped high school students with an IEP (Individual Education Program) transition out of high school. I joined GCC in 2019 as the assistant to the Director of Special Education and the district level user of the student IEP record keeping system, but my heart is still working with students. As the Transition Vocational Coach I will meet with students individually and in groups in the transition process covering education, employment, and indendent living. Together with the high school special education staff we will assist students as they manuver their way from high school to adulthood. .
