In this presentation, we will define the idea of meaningful physical education, look more specifically at some unit and lesson plans and discuss ways to make everything we do more meaningful for the diverse groups of students in our classes. In this fast-paced active presentation teachers will learn cooperative games that can be used in physical education class as a powerful tool for building community and fostering positive social interactions among students. Attendees will learn how to structure activities that emphasize teamwork, communication, and mutual support. Strategies for grouping students will also be shared. By the end, educators will be equipped with practical games and techniques to promote connection and collaboration in their PE classes.
