As AI tools become more common in education, many students are experimenting with them, sometimes appropriately, sometimes not. This session will help teachers shift from a policing mindset to a coaching one. We’ll explore why students turn to AI, how to spot potential misuse, and most importantly, how to have productive, empathetic conversations when you suspect AI-generated work. Through role-play, discussion, and practical strategies, participants will leave with concrete language, tools, and approaches to guide students toward responsible AI use and academic integrity.
